Give us a donation and we'll give you a deduction.
If you itemize deductions on federal tax returns (using the long form), you are entitled to claim charitable giving for "good" material items that you donate to Goodwill. As of August 2006, The Pension Protection Act outlines new rules for claiming tax deductions on charitable donations. For material donations, donors may claim a deduction only for items that are in "good" condition. For items worth more than $500 - a qualified appraisal must accompany the claim. So... if that item you plan to donate is something you'd proudly give to Aunt Jane or sister Sue - its most likely in "good" condition. We'll give you a receipt indicating the date we received your generous donation. Make a detailed inventory of the items that you donate and keep it with your Goodwill receipt. Tax Credits

Receive a 2008 Tax Credit by donating to Goodwill or ecademie Charter High School. Redirect your tax dollars to Goodwill or ecademie and help provide the tools for a lifetime of success. With your payment, you can immediately help change someone’s life. Receive up to $200 per individual or $400 on your Arizona joint tax return by helping Arizona adults and youth become self-sufficient. Think of it as a down payment on somebody’s future.
