Your tax-deductible donations play a vital role in Goodwill's ability to fulfill our mission of giving a "hand up" to individuals facing barriers to employment. Your donations transform into dollars that help us fund our programs and Put People to Work through education and employment services.

The list below gives approximate values for what items sell for at Goodwill stores. Use these ranges as a general guide to assess the value you can claim on your tax return. Goodwill cannot assign a tax value for you.

The rules governing valuation, substantiation, record keeping and reporting can be quite complex, however. We therefore recommend downloading IRS Publication 526 and IRS Publication 561 from the IRS Website and/or consulting a tax advisor if your situation so warrants.
