Youth Services

Giving youth an opportunity to succeed ensures a better future for everyone. Goodwill Youth Services collaborates with other community organizations and government agencies to provide employment programs for youth in central Arizona.

Workforce Connection Youth Programs

Phoenix Workforce Connection (PWC) and Maricopa Workforce Connection (MWC) programs are comprehensive, year-round services that assist youth ages 14 to 21 in the City of Phoenix and Eastern Maricopa County.

Programs are designed to aid youth with barriers to employment by providing assistance in the following areas: leadership development, educational assistance, occupational skills training, mentoring, job placement, summer employment, case management, work experience, guidance and counseling, career exploration, and follow-up services. The MWC and PWC programs are offered at the following locations:

  • PWC - 417 N. 16th St., Phoenix
  • PWC - 950 W. Indian School Road, Phoenix (Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development)
  • PWC - 649 N. 6th Ave., Phoenix (Arizona Call-A-Teen)
  • MWC - 735 N. Gilbert Road, Gilbert (Maricopa County One-Stop)
  • MWC - 805 E. Guadalupe Road, Tempe
  • MWC - 930 N. Alma School Road, Chandler

Summer Youth Work Experience Program (City of Phoenix)

The Summer Youth Work Experience Program (SYWEP) is designed to increase work readiness skills and employability of youth in the community. The SYWEP program provides assistance with summer employment, support services, and limited case management during the summer months. Participants must reside in the Phoenix area, and be 14 to 18 years of age. The SYWEP program is offered at the following location:

  • 417 N. 16th St., Phoenix

Academic Learning Centers

Goodwill supports youth and their family members in attaining their academic goals by offering academic support services including one-on-one and group tutoring as well as a full-service GED program. Academic services are open to the public and are offered at the following locations:

  • 417 N. 16th St., Phoenix (GED Program)
  • 930 N. Alma School Road, Chandler (Learning Center)
  • 6750 W. Peoria Ave., Peoria (Learning Center)
