Goodwill Opens Donation Center in Scottsdale

Goodwill of Central Arizona's first donation center welcomed 208 visitors during its grand opening weekend on March 28-29. The total amount of donations filled up a box truck full of merchandise for our stores.

The donation facility which is located at 8912 E. Via Linda, Scottsdale, received lots of favorable comments from nearby residents. They were pleased to know that a Goodwill donation site was available in this community. All individuals who donate will receive a tax receipt.

The donation facility is 1,500-2,000 square feet in size and has a convenient, dedicated parking lot. Donors are able to park and quickly drop off their household items.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The phone number is (480) 661-1282.

The Scottsdale donation center is one of three planned for central Arizona in 2009. The Real Estate and Facilities department is targeting Scottsdale, Arrowhead and the southeast Valley for the future donation centers.
