August Evening of Goodwill Raffle Winner Announced!

Goodwill of Central Arizona is excited to announce that Linda Hopkins is the lucky winner of our first Evening of Goodwill Raffle on August 17! Hopkins won an Apple iPod Touch Combo Package!

Since July 19, all Goodwill of Central Arizona stores have hosted the Evening of Goodwill Raffle in an effort to raise $100,000 by October 11 to benefit our only annual fundraiser for post-secondary education. There are four prizes available and tickets are only 1 for $2 or 3 for $5.

Our 10th Annual Evening of Goodwill will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 5-9 PM at Desert Foothills in North Scottsdale. The proceeds earned from the raffle and the event support Goodwill's General Education Fund for local at-risk youth and the Barker Post-Secondary Scholarship Fund for disadvantaged adults who want to gain an education but don't have the means.

If you did not win this time, do not worry! You still have three opportunities between now and October 11, 2010 to purchase raffle tickets at any of the 43 Goodwill retail locations in central Arizona.

Our raffle dates and prizes are as follows:

• Sept. 15 Drawing - HP Netbook (for tickets sold between Aug. 14-Sept. 13)
• Oct. 13 Drawing - Nintendo Wii System (for tickets sold between Sept. 15-Oct. 11)
• Oct. 15 SuperDraw - Travel Package - Two (2) Southwest Airlines Travel Vouchers, Hotel Gift Card, Camcorder with Tripod (for tickets sold between July 19 -Oct. 11)

Remember, tickets only cost $2 for one ticket; or $5 for three tickets. All raffle ticket buyers are entered into the individual drawings and the SuperDraw held in October.
