Goodwill on 2009 Best Places to Work List
The Phoenix Business Journal and BestCompaniesAZ, co-founders of the “Best Places to Work” list, recently announced that Goodwill of Central Arizona has been named to the 2009 list in the Large Company-sized category. Goodwill, an organization that has been successful in its Commitment to Put People to Work, is also dedicated to fostering a positive work environment for its 1,345 employees.
The “Best Places to Work” list, which was started in 2003, recognizes Valley companies who, through a third-party-administered employee satisfaction survey, rank as being the best places to work. The areas surveyed are varied parts of employee life, including workplace environment, leadership direction, culture, and management practices.
Goodwill was acknowledged for creating an enjoyable corporate culture and work environment that fosters personal and professional growth for its employees. By offering its employees such benefits as 401k retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, and employee giveaways, Goodwill has promoted a pleasant and productive atmosphere for its valued workforce.
"We are excited to rank #30 on the “Best Places to Work” in the Valley list this year,” said Jim Teter, President and CEO for Goodwill of Central Arizona. “Making the list is truly an honor for everyone working for and associated with Goodwill. We are extremely proud of our employees and the dedicated services they help provide to our local communities every day.”
Winners were announced at the “Best Places to Work” Luncheon, Dec. 10 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix, and were featured in the Dec. 11 edition of the Phoenix Business Journal and on an exclusive Website for the Valley’s “Best Places to Work” – www.BestCompaniesAZ.com.
