Goodwill Makes Donating Easier with Temporary Donation Sites throughout the Valley
Goodwill of Central Arizona has opened eight convenient, temporary donation drop-off sites throughout the Valley. The sites will be open through Jan. 31, 2010 and will allow Valley residents to easily drop-off unwanted household items, clothing and electronics. Goodwill needs donations to continue to help central Arizona’s disadvantaged youth and adults and 100 percent of the dollars raised from community donations stay with the Goodwill organization.
Donated items will be resold in one of Goodwill’s 42 retail store locations to help fund the organization’s programs which provide job training and employment services to thousands of Arizona youth and adults each year.
“We hope that these donation sites will make charitable giving much easier during this holiday season,” said Jackie Halleen, Vice President of Retail Operations for Goodwill of Central Arizona. “Because we have an increased demand for our human service programs that help individuals get back on their feet, we need donations now more than ever. We appreciate anything you have to give this Season.”
