Goodwill Wants You to Go Red for Women

Throughout the month of February, Goodwill of Central Arizona invites all of our shoppers and donors to join millions of Americans in showing our support for women's heart health and the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign.

Free 2011 Tax Help at Goodwill

Worried about the costs of having your taxes prepared by a professional?

Fret no more because Goodwill of Central Arizona, the City of Phoenix, and the IRS are partnering to provide the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program to the public for FREE.

Scheduling is available every half hour between 9 AM and 1:30 PM, every Saturday between February 4 and March 10. The average visit usually takes about an hour.

Goodwill Offering Home Donation Pick-Ups

New Partnership with Good Donor to Make It Easier for Arizonans to Give

Donating unwanted household items just became easier. Goodwill of Central Arizona has formed a new partnership with Knowledge Marketing’s GoodDonor.org, which will enable our nonprofit to grow and manage our household donation pick-up business.

Greenfield Store Opening in Mesa a Grand Success for Goodwill

Goodwill of Central Arizona, with support from local real estate investor Michael Pollack, opened our 47th retail store in grand style with two marching bands, a host of dignitaries, and nearly 5,200 customers during the November 4-6 weekend.

More than 600 people were lined up before our Greenfield store at opened 9 AM, located at 4412 E. University Drive in Mesa. Arizona residents have been flocking to Goodwill stores in today’s stressed economy in order to save money on clothing and household goods.

Control Your 2011 Tax Dollars with Goodwill

Would you like to make a difference prior to the end of the year that won’t cost you a dime? Then consider giving a cash donation today.

The State of Arizona offers a TAX CREDIT to organizations that provide “Assistance to the Working Poor,” Goodwill’s primary commitment and mission. Basically, this provision allows those that qualify to take a dollar-for-dollar tax credit (up to $200 for individuals and up to $400 for married couples filing jointly) for a donation of cash to Goodwill of Central Arizona.

Goodwill to Open Store in Mesa on Nov. 4

Customers Urged to Arrive Early for Raffles, Gift Cards

Goodwill of Central Arizona is set to open our Greenfield retail store and donation center on November 4 (rescheduled from October 14), will be located at 4412 E. University Dr., Mesa.

Our grand opening celebration will feature two marching bands and raffles for exciting prizes including three 42" LCD TVs and a $500 Goodwill Shopping Spree! Get there early to receive your raffle tickets because we will hold our drawings for all of the prizes at 10 AM! You must be present to win.

Goodwill, OpenWorks to Host Hiring Event in Phoenix on October 28

As part of our ongoing commitment to help individuals prepare for and find work, Goodwill of Central Arizona is teaming up with OpenWorks to host Hiring Events on October 28 from 10 AM to 1 PM at our Goodwill Chase Career Center, 515 N. 51st Ave., Phoenix.

OpenWorks, a facility services company, is seeking janitors and custodians.

The Hiring Event are free and open to the public. Pre-employment screening and new hire paper work will be completed on-site.

Goodwill Career Center in Scottsdale to Host Recruitment Events on October 25-26

As part of our ongoing commitment to help individuals prepare for and find work, Goodwill of Central Arizona is teaming up with several companies to host Recruitment Events on October 25-26 from 10 AM to 1 PM at our Goodwill Career Center at Pavilions at Talking Stick, 8959 E. Indian Bend Rd, Scottsdale.

The Recruitment Events are free and open to the public. Job seekers should dress professionally, bring copies of their resume and be prepared to speak with recruiters.

Goodwill's Training Services Team to Host Workshops in the Valley in October

Goodwill of Central Arizona has many programs geared toward providing services to the Valley's youth and adults and helping people move from welfare to work. Through these programs, Goodwill strives to empower individuals to be productive and independent.
