At Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona, we are dedicated to ending poverty through the power of work. We believe that job training and job skills are so important for individuals who are seeking employment. Through our career services and job training programs, we’re empowering individuals, strengthening families, and building stronger communities.
While we work with job seekers and local employers to place Arizonans in jobs each year, we also work to help them get the skills they need to prepare for day one. Our career advisors work with job seekers to help improve their interview performance and make sure their resume is clear and professional. In addition, we offer digital training courses to ensure job seekers have the skills they need for the job they deserve.
When we help job seekers find employment, the individual benefits have a ripple effect. It is our hope that when an individual goes to work, they feel confident and purpose driven. As they’re developing new skills in their new job and using the skills they have to achieve results, they’re growing stronger. What a great example to show kids the power of work!
Thriving families support strong communities. We love that our presence in the community is felt both through our job services and retail stores. There’s always a Goodwill store nearby in your neighborhood so anyone can shop or donate. Donating or shopping at Goodwill supports our no-cost career services, which are available to anyone looking for a new job, education, or training.
