Free Arts of Arizona Thanks Goodwill …

In a recent letter to Goodwill, Stephanie L. Small, Executive Director for Free Arts of Arizona, thanked Goodwill for their continuous donations of bottle caps. An excerpt from the letter is below:

Your support is helping Free Arts of Arizona provide programming to over 4,400 children each year. Many of these children have been removed from their families and are living in a residential treatment center or group home. Some children live with their families in homeless shelters. Others stay with their mothers in domestic violence shelters.

Goodwill of Central Arizona Appoints Technology Executive to Serve as President & Chief Executive Officer

James TeterGoodwill of Central Arizona’s Board of Directors has appointed the organization’s sixth President & Chief Executive Officer since the nonprofit opened its doors in 1947. James Teter, most recently the Chief Operating Officer at Calence, LLC in Tempe, Arizona, took the helm of the $60M nonprofit organization on June 2, 2008.

Teter brings more than 30 years of senior leadership experience to Goodwill from his impressive tenure in the technology field, where he earned a reputation for building teams, growing organizations’ employees, revenues and services and aligning teams toward “One Team - One Mission.” Teter has held senior leadership positions at Avnet, IBM, Savoir, and Lockwood Association. He has also served on the Board of the American Heart Association, was co-chairman for the South Texas United Way campaign and was an active member of the Corpus Christi Economic Development Corporation and Respite Care of San Antonio – rounding out his experience with a broad social services perspective.

“I really wanted the next part of my career to focus on impacting communities – making them a better place to live and work,” said Jim Teter, President & CEO of Goodwill of Central Arizona. “For many years my family and I have been involved with nonprofit organizations addressing social and human service needs, so Goodwill's mission is a natural fit. I share this team's passion for positively impacting the lives of youth and adults in our community and I look forward to helping Goodwill of Central Arizona expand its already impressive service offerings."
