Goodwill Hiring Event – Retail Management – Position Descriptions

Join us for our Retail Management hiring event on Tuesday, November 19 from 10 am to 3 pm!

We’re looking for passionate people to manage our retail stores. We will interview on-site for a district manager, store managers, assistant store managers, and customer service managers. This program is ideal for driven and motivated applicants who care about developing people, and have a background in a thrift retail, warehouse, or retail environment.

District Manager

Responsible for the oversight, leadership, and achievement of results for multiple Retail Store locations. Directs all aspects of daily operations; leading the team and driving the business. Provides strategic vision, leadership and general management skills for both short- and long-term success. Key responsibilities include store operations, financial management, human resources, control of inventory and training & development. Maintains control-related standards and procedures. Builds and retains motivated, high performing teams through effective leadership of line management.

Store Managers

Drives retail business operations at a Retail Store location to help fund the Goodwill mission of ending unemployment. Responsible for entire store production, directly leading Assistant Store Manager(s), Production Team, and Donation Attendants. Key responsibilities include people leadership, store operations, financial management, inventory control, donation processing, customer service, and training and development of Team Members.

Assistant Store Managers

Leads the daily operations of the sales floor at a Retail Store location to help fund the Goodwill mission of ending unemployment. Assists with leading production room as appropriate. Key responsibilities include people leadership, store operations, customer service, financial management, inventory control, donation processing, and training and development of store team members.

Customer Service Managers

Responsible for the oversight, leadership and achievement of the sales floor and obtaining set sales goals. Key responsibilities include building, leading, and retaining motivated, high performing teams through effective leadership of Retail Sales Associates.
