Never donated to Goodwill before, and not sure what you can donate? We got you covered. Here are a few things to keep in mind when donating to Goodwill:
Donating to Goodwill is easy, and we have the perfect guide below to help you make a smart donation. Continue reading to learn more about what you can donate and why donating to Goodwill matters.
You heard it here first. We will take your donations! Don’t shy away from bringing a bag of donations to Goodwill if it’s on your mind or left in your trunk. While some items are generally more “accepted” than others, we won’t say no and turn you away. If there is something we can’t sell, we have recycling partnerships like Dell Reconnect to help us responsibly recycle. Let’s take a look at what kinds of items we will gladly accept:
This list doesn’t include everything we’ll take (there’s more!). If you aren’t sure, just bring it to us and we’ll take care of it.
We know that getting around and finding the time or place to donate can be difficult. That’s why we have many convenient donation locations throughout the Phoenix metro, northern Arizona, and Yuma areas. This means you likely have a store and donation center near your neighborhood.
Here are some of the easy ways you can donate to Goodwill:

If you’re ready to donate, we’re ready for you! Visit our locations page to find a convenient donation location near you. Our locations are open daily from 8 AM to 10 PM.
Your donation to Goodwill is one of the best acts of service you can do for your local community. Thanks to your donations, we are able to provide no-cost career and training services for individuals looking to transform their lives. Your support helps fund programs like the Veteran Career Center for job and training services, Spark Community Schools for young learners, and The Excel Center for adults looking to earn their high school diplomas.
Every donation made helps promote circularity and prevent waste. In the last year alone, Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona and Goodwill Industries of Monocacy Valley diverted over 230 million pounds of materials from going directly into landfills. This was possible thanks to the generous donations made by hundreds of thousands in our local communities. Visit our Sustainability page to learn more about our efforts toward making a positive impact on the environment. Thank you for donating to Goodwill!
