When you host a fundraiser with Goodwill, you not only earn easy money for your organization – you are helping your community by increasing item re-use and decreasing what’s going to the landfill! Plus, every pound of donations increases the amount you raise. And to keep it as easy as possible Goodwill hosts the fundraiser at one of its store locations. Simply gather your unneeded clothing, shoes, or household items, and drop them off at the designated location on the designated day.

FUNDRAISING: EASY AS 1,2,3…

1. Sign up & Promote

• Fill out your organization’s information in the form below.
• Select a preferred Goodwill Store, Date, and Time.
• Tell your friends and family – Goodwill provides customized marketing materials to help you promote your fundraiser.

2. Collect & Donate

• Collect gently used donations from your family, friends, and neighbors.
• Bring your donations to the designated Goodwill store on the date of your event.
• When you donate, bring the donation drive flyer with you and hand it to the donation attendant to verify your donations are for the fundraiser. This is what ensures your organization receives credit – and funds – for all items donated through your fundraiser.

3. Goodwill Pays YOU!

• Once your fundraiser is complete, a member of our team will reach out with the total amount of pounds collected and provide you with the amount raised.

TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISER WITH GOODWILL

• Start by collecting items before the event. Pre-collection is KEY – the more time in collection, the more items provided.
• Organize a pickup for items from those who cannot bring them to your drive.
• Pass out flyers to friends, family, and neighbors.
• Hang flyers around your event location and at businesses throughout the community.
• Organize a friendly competition to motivate group members to collect donations.
• Post event details on all of your organization’s materials: marquee, website, newsletter, and social media.
• Help family and friends clean out their homes and deliver items to the drive.
• Connect with your colleagues for more donations!
• When dropping off donations at the designated store, be sure to tell the donation attendant that your donations are for the fundraiser.
• Thank donors and vendors after the event.
• Finish by planning your next fundraiser!
